Dear Democrats,
Thank you for visiting the campaign website to learn more about me. I am the Judge of the 363rd Criminal District Court, which is a felony court.
I was elected to this court as part of the historic "Class of 2006" group of candidates who brought Dallas County government under Democratic leadership. I am now seeking reelection to this bench.
I take my work very seriously, and I am honored that you have entrusted me with the responsibility of playing a critical role in our criminal justice system.
Since taking office, I have worked hard and I have lived up to my pledge to treat all persons who appear in my court with dignity and respect. I have earned a solid reputation, and I respectfully ask for your support.

MORE ABOUT JUDGE TRACY HOLMES
Judge Tracy Holmes is the Presiding Judge of the 363rd Criminal District Court in Dallas County. She was first elected in 2006 and took office in January of 2007. Her court handles felony criminal cases.
Prior to taking the bench, Judge Holmes served as a respected criminal attorney for more than 20 years, handling countless felony, misdemeanor and juvenile cases through pre-trial, resolutions, plea agreements and bench and jury trials. She has a balanced perspective, born of her extensive experience as both a criminal defense attorney and a prosecutor.
Judge Holmes began her career in the Dallas County District Attorney's office. She also represented hundreds of indigent defendants accused of all degrees of felony offenses while working at the Dallas County Public Defender's Office.
Judge Holmes' goal is to work hard and render decisions that are fair and just to all. Judge Holmes understands the necessity of treating everyone with dignity and respect, while holding perpetrators of crimes responsible and making their victims whole.
